Raife loves his new cousin! Paisley was born to my brother Lance and his wife Ann on Wednesday and Raife and I headed over to Wenatchee to go see her...and Raife LOVED her...it shouldn't be too hard for you to see why...she's so beautiful! Check out her gorgeous dark hair and cute little nose...I already love this little girl! Welcome to our family Paisley!

Remi's 1st Birthday
In a lot of ways, it seems like just yesterday that this little girl was born...

Last Friday my baby girl turned 1! I can't believe it! It just amazes me how fast the first year goes by. Remi is such a big girl now...walking all over the place, climbing on everything, into everything...trying to talk...a cute little dancer...she loves music...she loves water...she loves her mommy...she's my little cuddler and I love it! Although I'm a little sad that she's already turned 1, at the same time I absolutely love it cuz she's at such a cute stage. We had a birthday party for her on Saturday and it has been so much fun to watch her play with her new toys. She loves all her babies, her ride on toys, her baby strollers, her new clothes (which she tries to put on by putting over top of her head and face), etc. She looks like such a big girl with all her big girl toys. She also got a toy box from Grandma and Grandpa Izzi (thank you!) for all her toys which is exciting to me...less mess! Anyway, she had a great birthday surrounded by family, friends, and her favorite babysitters from the last year.
...and look at her now!

Here are some of my favorite pics of her from the day...
And don't miss the following post down below which has all the pictures of her enjoying her first birthday cake!
Lake Kachess
Growing up, my family loved going up to Lake Kachess to picnic, camp, swim and canoe in the lake. In past years, we don't go often (ever since my parents discovered Priest Lake which is even prettier). However, whenever relatives visit, it's almost inevitable that we'll make it up there at least for a picnic. Last Friday we went up there with all the out of town relatives/friends...Dale, Jenny, Olivia and Jacob; Uncle Norm; Grandma Young; my dad's good friend Dennis; my parents; Matt, Raife, Remi and I. It was a beautiful day filled with swimming, boating, tubing, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, and thousands of mosquitos! But it was lots of fun. Here are several of my favorite pics from the day...
No...Raife is not bruised on his chest...and he's actually not dirty either...his life vest evidently stained his skin black...it lasted for days.

Daddy and Remi

One of Remi's favorite things is water...she loves pools, bathtubs, lakes, rivers...you name it. She sat in the lake for SO LONG! The poor thing was freezing...toes were turning blue...lips were quivering...and she still screamed when we took her out. She just can't get enough of water...

The lake is up on Snoqualmie pass and is basically all melted snow so it's a tad on the cold side as you can see by Raife's body language here...

Doesn't Raife look cute in his little life jacket?!
My dad took Matt out on the boat for some tubing and Olivia, Jacob and Raife had a blast watching Matt...they thought it was the funniest thing and laughed and laughed...then when Matt finally fell off the kids were horrified and I honestly thought Raife was going to cry cuz he was so worried for Matt.
